Order Code: UVP3UV36

The 6 Watt 3UV Handheld Lamp offers a uniform and intense source of ultraviolet light (radiation) with three UV tubes housed in one lamp. The lamp emits one of three UV wavelengths (254nm, 302nm or 365nm UV) in four watt configurations for exposure or illumination of materials. All 3UV Series Handheld Lamps are lightweight with a rugged housing. Each lamp features a uniquely designed reflector surface mounted behind each tube to provide maximum UV fluorescence. A selector knob is conveniently located on top of the unit to select the appropriate UV source. Each lamp comes with one UV tube of each UV wavelength: 254nm, 302nm and 365nm UV.

Dimensions: 12.5L x 3W x 4.5D in. (318 x 76 x 114mm)
6 Watts (each bulb)

Important Safety Information Caution: Shortwave and midrange UV radiation will cause damage to unprotected eyes and skin. Before operating any unit, be sure all personnel in the area are properly protected. UV Blocking Eyewear should be worn as well. UVP has a complete line of UV Blocking Eyewear: Spectacles, Goggles and Faceshield designed for this purpose.

The manufacturer, UVP, LLC, warrants its 3UV Series Lamps to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Tubes and filters are warranted for a period of 90 days.

Ultraviolet light is electromagnetic radiation in the part of the spectrum between x-rays and visible light, approximately 180nm to 400nm. It differs from light only that its wavelengths are to short to be seen by the human eye.

UV-A, or long wave radiation, is 315nm and above. UV-B, or midrange radiation, is 280nm-315nm. UV-C, or short wave radiation, is 280nm and below.

When UV radiation falls upon phosphors, it causes the phosphors to emit specific radiation. This phenomenon is known as fluorescence. In some material, the fluorescence lingers on and slowly disappears after the UV source is removed. This phenomenon is known as phosphorescence (Glow-in-the-Dark). Shortwave UV is harmful to the eyes or skin. Proper protection must be worn when operating a lamp with Shortwave UV. Alternately, longwave UV is safe for everyday use.
